Surrender MY anxiety. Be still and realize that I am God.
I am God above all the nations, and I am exalted throughout the whole earth.

Psalm 46:20 The Passion Translation (TPT)
I have more time to focus on what’s important, the Lord. I can spend more time in His word, I can hear Him better, I can stop and pause and pray for people more. I can hear the needs of others without talking to them, and pray or provide according to how God leads me. I don’t have to worry about my needs because I know the Lord is taking care of them. The sabbatical of April 2023 is teaching me this. In this season, my prayer request was love, trust, humility and mercy. When I started to get busy I was unable to pause and check in more with people to ask them if they needed prayer surrounding their concerns. I am learning that prayer is more than me begging God to take care of my needs but seeking Him to cover the needs of others….and discovering I don’t have to beg, I nearly need to decree or declare (or command) a thing and it is so, because God resides in me through the power of the Holy Spirit. I have more time to inquire and linger for an answer when I’m resting. I am unraveled from the culture of busy body and striving and united with the Kingdom culture of seeking, resting, and releasing. I am able to discern the voice of God clearer and have the Lord check in on my heart, to discover my motives and the real reason I’m pursuing “a thing”. In resting, my faith and trust becomes stronger and I can fulfill the mandate of faith according to

And without faith living within us it would be impossible to please God.
For we come to God in faith
knowing that He is real
and that he rewards the faith of those who passionately seek Him.

Hebrews 11:6 TPT

Rest unties the knot I made, putting my trust in men. God restores my vision to His Glory Alone. He brings me back to a space of love, a place where He tells me my value, and restores my trust in His presence alone. Resting got me to a place of slowing down and facing myself with God and allowing Him to heal me so I can move forward and heal others. Set the captives free with Jesus

(Psalm 51)

God’s grace extended to us comes in many forms, but the precursor to receive it had to come through the sacrificial lamb; Yeshua. In fact….God’s grace is why Yeshua was sent to earth.

Hebrews 11:9 TPT

In rest God is constantly reminding me it is Him who does the work. All He ask me to do is believe and obey. Thank you Lord. As you read the Old Testament you will discover many phrases that point to God saying “for it is I”. A constant reminder that it is Him, through me. Throughout the old testament we see Kings, rulers of nations, bowing down and worshipping God in awe, fearful worship (not the strike me down fear, but the healthy love filled fear); acknowledging God in all His majesty

(1 Chron 17:16-20; 2 Samuel 7:18-22)
….For it was by God’s grace he [Yeshua] experienced death’s bitterness on behalf of everyone. When I rest I’m able to remember, it’s lunchtime, and not get so busy that I look at the clock like “it’s past lunch time”. In rest I discover shalom (peace): nothing missing, nothing broken.
